Dynamic Duo Join Smith's

Not one but two new faces join the team at Kirkham based M&E Contractor Smith Group UK Ltd. The company which celebrates 50 years in the trade this year announced the addition to its 200 strong team today after a series of big client project wins. With the business continuing its success it has opened the door for two new senior management roles, one in marketing and the other in business development. The latter role has been taken by Mike Ainscough who joins as Business Development Manger, Mike a well known and experienced figure within the M&E industry joins to head up the Bid Management Department with a view to strategically moving the group forward. Mike has worked with most of the major players in the industry over the last 15 years. Project wins, for which Mike has been responsible for over the last 5 years, were in excess of £350m and include Bradford BSF, Barnsley BSF, and Design For Life Hospitals, amongst many others.
David Jones has been appointed in the newly created role of Group Sales & Marketing Manager. David brings a wealth of knowledge from his many years as managing director, running a full service creative agency with offices in Manchester and Preston. His remit involves the development of the Smith Group UK Ltd brand, internal and external communications and he takes control of all marketing and PR activity within the group.

Work for the group has spanned a broad range of industries including education, retail, commercial, domestic and residential. With a turnover of £35 million, Smith Group UK Ltd has worked with major players and most recent clients have included Birse, Bovis Lend Lease, Carillion and BAM.
